Mr. Ali Mushtaq was born in Pakistan and acquired his education in Peshawar by acquiring the degree of LLB from Peshawar University. The acquired degree assisted him to get profound knowledge of Sharia’h Law, particularly Islamic financial transactions. Subsequently, he additionally acquired his Bachelor Honors degree in Business from Griffith University (AQF 8, Brisbane, Australia) in 2009 and Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and finance from Pakistan. The incumbent is also Certified Islamic Auditor and Advisor (CSAA) from AAOIFI. He possesses a versatile experience of 14 years in the Banking industry with different Banks and positions starting from ABN AMRO Bank (Pakistan), Ghazanfar Bank (Afghanistan), Islamic Bank of Thailand (Bangkok, Thailand) on different designations such as Credit Officer, Head of Islamic Financing / Investments, Deputy Chief Credit Officer, Acting Chief Credit Officer and AVP Islamic Product Development Department. He then joined the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan (Afghanistan) in June 2020 and has been discharging his responsibilities as Chief Credit Officer since then.
