Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam

Shariah Board Member

He has accomplished his B.A., LL.B (Hons) in Shariah& Law, LL.M in International Law and PhD in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence from the International Islamic University Islamabad. His expertise include a wide range of professional and advisory services that he has offered to several multinational organizations, financial and banking institutions, and government entities throughout his career. He has advised clients on the regulatory and governmental policy framework across a number of industry sectors.

Dr. Hatam has extensively worked on issues including but not limited to Commercial Law, Tax Law, Labour Law, Banking Law, Islamic Banking Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms including Arbitration Law and Mediation Law, the Law of Negotiable Instruments and Property Law. He also served as Senior Consultant (Legal) at the Central Public Private Partnership Authority of the Afghan Ministry of Finance and serves as Arbitrator at the Afghanistan Centre for Dispute Resolution (“ACDR”).
