Dr. Suresh Nanda

Dr. Suresh Nanda holds a Master’s in Economics
from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and a Doctorate in Business
Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Dr. Nanda has
also attended an Advanced Management Program at Wharton School, University of
Pennsylvania, US.
He has over 37 years’ experience in
banking, mostly in leadership positions, where he managed large teams in the
Project Finance, Corporate & Investment Banking, International Banking, Off
shore Banking Retail Banking and Private Banking in units of ICICI, ICICI Bank, ING Bank in
India and Middle East. He was part of the startup team of ICICI Bank in 1994.
His last assignment was as the Head of International Banking pf Bank One,
Mauritius.. In July 2018, he has set up
a boutique debt and equity consulting outfit with primary focus on Africa as
also Middle East.
He
has established track record of transformation and turnaround with
significant increase in business, revenue & profitability and improvement
in portfolio quality. Highly adaptable professional with extensive experience
in managing diverse teams with an understanding of cultural nuances based on
working and doing business across the world. Ability to bring strategic
visioning with deep industry experience through many years of leading
transformations. Worked with McKinsey & Co and Monitor for multiple
projects including operational integration of ICICI and ICICI Bank, brand
intent for ING group, and market positioning of ING Private Banking. He transformed
the International Banking Business of Bank One as one of the best in the island
in terms of growth and all business parameters.
